My husband and I stayed at Queen's Landing B&B for 4 nights last week and we had a great time. We came by train, which was late and Brian picked us up at the station, even though the train was late and he had to go home and then come back again. He took us to the station at the end of our visit too. The B&B is a beautiful old house with lovely walnut trim everywhere. The rooms that we saw all look very comfortable. I especially enjoyed ours, which was decorated in a style fitting the house but with all modern necessities. The bathroom we used was nice and big and had a door to an outside second-floor porch which we would definitely have used in warmer weather. The house always was very clean and tidy which was very important to me since I am allergic to cats. They have a cat, which they kept out of sight and I felt confident that there were no cat hairs in any of the common places or guest rooms. One cat hair can ruin my whole holiday. The house was in a nice neighbourhood within walking distance of downtown, Victoria Park and other attractions. It was easy to come and go. I haven't even gotten to the breakfasts yet! All made by Wilma, they were fabulous -day 1 we had an old fashioned eggs and bacon breakfast including peameal bacon, homemade bread and jams. The next day was strawberry crepes and the next was an omelet (I forget what kind) and all were yummy. We were entertained while hanging out or eating by Brian, who is very interesting and obviously loves meeting people.

A most enjoyable visit with a warm welcome from Wilma and Brian. The house is spacious, comfortable and full of character. The breakfasts are something to behold and certainly set you up for the day. Our hosts were very helpful with trip advise for the local area, giving useful information on places of interest, and also for our visit to Toronto. Looking forward to a return stay during 2013!

Having owned and operated a Guest House myself, I am, shall we say "Selective". My booking was made by a friend, and I am most impressed. It was like "Going home ". A stress free, beautiful, comfortable place, filled with laughter, conversation and fun. Breakfast was delicious and leaving was hard. I am going to go again, and again.

Just a great experience in every respect. Stay here if you can because a treat like this is rare in life. Raises the bar for expectations from B&B's or any other accommodation for that matter. For five days we looked forward to superb breakfasts with excellent bottomless coffee. A late evening hunger attack could be easily satisfied with wonderful homemade cookies that always seemed to be in fresh supply.

Having grown up in the KW area we were in town from oversees and looking for an alternative to the chain hotels. Our hosts welcomed us with the perfect balance of being helpful without being overbearing. The home itself is a woodwork wonderland. As befits it's original owner. We had lovely weather so enjoyed a heritage home walk. The neighbourhood is not consistently refurbished so you may even spot your next DIY project. Breakfast was unique, a quebecois apple pancake which set us up nicely for the day. Will return.

This had comfortable beds; cool temperature in the summer with fan additionally in the room and our room was more than twice the size it needed to be for a low rate. The shower was ancient but effective and other plumbing was modern in the old house. Good recommendations of things to do in the area (park downtown and Kitchener Waterloo museum.) Breakfast was good especially the banana bread. Location is fairly central and nicer than downtown. Somewhat awkward to park in back, but that's as close as I have to a negative comment.

We had a family wedding to attend in Kitchener & found this B&B online. Best decision ever to stay here & rent all 3 Rooms. Our children live all over the world so we are rarely able to get together, staying at this place provided us with the feeling of being at home. Awesome house, spotless, extremely comfortable & maintained to perfection. Brian & Wilma were extremely accommodating to our needs & enjoyable to be around. Breakfast was simply delicious. We will definitely return in the future whenever we need to be in the Kitchener area.

Highly recommend this B&B. The home is so lovely, so spacious, so clean, so charming and so comfortable. The hosts are very relaxed and foster this in their guests. They made a delicious gluten free breakfast without hesitation. We could not have chosen a better place for our 3 day stay in May 2012.

I was in Kitchener for 10 days and it was great to stay at the Queen's Landing! Brian and Wilma really make us feel comfortable, and they also make us have nice conversations with the other guests! They will also make an extra effort to help out in what they feel each guest needs: a ride, a nice tip, or whatever might feel necessary. Breakfast is just delicious and extremely varied. I'm looking forward to coming back at the end of the year!

Wilma went above and beyond to make me feel that I was at home for my stay (3 weeks). The house is beautiful and is a short walk to downtown Kitchener (about 15 minutes). The rooms were very comfortable. The best part is breakfast! Wilma is a fabulous cook who was kind enough to share some of her recipes with me! I highly recommend Queens Landing!

Wonderful home away from home in an historic Kitchener home with congenial hosts. Gourmet breakfasts, large clean room with ensuite bathroom. Located within walking distance of the downtown core and near the expressway that goes to St Jacobs, Stratford, etc. A great stay!

The fabulous decor and comfortable accommodations my family and I enjoyed for a 5 night stay at Queen's Landing were only eclipsed by the great breakfast and attentive service from Brian and Wilma. We wished we could have stayed longer. 6 stars!!

It was our first stay ever in a b&b and it was hard to top (we had the chance to compare as we stayed afterwards in about ten other b&b's)! Very delicious breakfast, perfect hosts (helping us with the trip and giving advices for dinner) and a nice decorated house. Many thanks for your hospitality!

We have been in August for two days in "Queen's Landing" and we liked it very much. Everything was perfect, the room ("Noble"), the situation (not far from downtown), the breakfast (delicious) and especially the hosts (Wilma and Brian are wonderful people - helpful and very friendly). We strongly recommend this place for a memorable stay in the Kitchener/Waterloo/St.Jacobs area!!!

Out of all the B&Bs that we have been to ,the Queens Landing has to be one of the best. One blocks walk to the Centre In The Square Concert Hall and two blocks walk to one of the most elegant Restaurant called Verses which is in an old Church, which has fine dinning at it best. It was the icing on the cake on one of the most romantic get away in a long time. A BIG THANKS again to Brian & Wilma for making us feel at home and for having one of the cleanest and most beautiful Victorian homes around with the softest beds to sleep on and best breakfast and goodies. Out of five stars we give it a six .

We always felt very welcomed and at home at the Queen's Landing. We have stayed at many B&Bs throughout Canada (i.e., from BC to Labrador) it was the friendliest (i.e. not business like) B&Bs I have every stayed, yet very professional (extremely clean rooms and great quality food).
My girlfriend and I have stayed at the Queens Landing for a month while we search for an apartment in Kitchener Waterloo area. Brian and Wilma was extremely helpful on giving us advices on relocation. With their help, we have found an apartment at the middle of our stay; however, we have decided to stay at the Queen's Landing until the end of the month, as it was too comfortable to leave. Although we now settled in our new house, we do miss the Queen's Landing so we plan to drop by once in a while to say hi to Brian and Wilma.

I've been staying in Queens Landing for three months while I was working in Waterloo, and am very happy to have found this great place! Queens Landing is a beautiful house (especially when decorated for Christmas!) and has very nice and comfortable rooms. The hosts, Wilma and Brian Skipper, are extremely friendly and very helpful and make sure their guests have a great time when staying at Queens Landing. They (and their two cats) make this B&B feel more like a home rather than a B&B. Wilma's cooking is simply great!
I would highly recommend this place for short visits to the Kitchener/Waterloo region, as well as extended stays.

My partner and I stayed Queen's Landing for the entire month of January while we searched for a place to live in town and we had an amazing time. The rooms were immaculately clean and well kept and had nice touches such as a fireplace and attached sitting room. The house has loads of character and plenty of common areas which can be used to relax or to admire all of the unique furnishings. The owners could not be friendlier - we played board games with them, talked over tea and cookies, participated in their granddaughters birthday, and were even invited to take in the titanic exhibition with them and their family. The food is fantastic and unique and there is always fresh baking to be had here. Queen's Landing is well located in downtown Kitchener with easy access to a variety of restaurants and entertainment and is near the main bus terminal in the city for convenient transport. We immediately felt at home here - so much so it was hard to leave after a month of living at Queen's Landing - its a good thing our new place is not too far away, we will definitely be going back for a visit. You really can't go wrong with a B&B owned by such amazing people.

What a wonderful home away from home! Loved our hosts, Wilma & Brian, who made us feel like royalty in the Queen's House. Should we ever be so lucky as to be able to stay an extended period to visit family in Kitchener, we will definitely pick their home as our #1 choice.

From June 7 to 20, 2010, we were in K-W to attend & volunteer at the 10 day Magnetic North Theatre Festival. During that time our home was Queens Landing B&B. Our hosts, Wilma & Brian Skipper and Porchie, the resident cat, welcomed us into their beautiful home and immediately we became part of their family. They cheerfully tolerated our comings & going at odd hours throughout the duration of the Festival. Our suite consisted of a bedroom, bathroom and cosy sitting room which Wilma has decorated with flair and good taste.
Served in their elegant dining room, breakfast ranged from a choice of fruit salad & muffins/toast to omelettes, bacon/sausages & eggs plus a variety of cold cereals & yogurts. One morning Wilma served mouthwatering crepes with fresh local strawberries from the Kitchener market and real whipped cream. On request, she will prepare and serve a tasty dinner complete with dessert & wine for a very modest price. We shared two such dinners with Wilma & Brian and enjoyed both.
To say we were treated royally would be an understatement.

We spent a memorable two days with Brian and Wilma. Their warm hospitality was a treat, their lovely home was so welcoming and the rooms very spacious and comfortable. We felt special and truly spoiled! Loved the yummy breakfasts and the artwork by Robert Skipper, too. Evenings on the back deck overlooking the gorgeous gardens were a pleasant bonus. The fact that downtown Kitchener is a leisurely stroll away through an attractive, mature neighbourhood was icing on the home-away-from-home cake! We'll be back!!!

We enjoyed our recent one week stay at Queens Landing Guest House very much and would highly recommend it to others. Wilma and Brian Skipper are wonderful, thoughtful hosts. They are warm and welcoming, yet are also discreet and understand guests’ need for privacy. They’re extremely flexible and sensitive to the varied requirements that different guests might have.
We stayed with them during a stressful period of searching for a home when our transfer from Alberta was confirmed. We were unfamiliar with K-W and Wilma and Brian were able to provide great insight, advice, maps and driving directions, and inside information about neighbourhoods and locations we would otherwise have never known. They even kindly loaned us their personal GPS for our rental vehicle!
Wilma’s meals were outstanding and a welcome respite from continuous restaurant dining. We enjoyed Wilma and Brian’s sense of humour, our many chats with them, and their specific suggestions for some fun activities and destinations that provided much-needed breaks for us. Their large and lovely home was fully open to us, and our private room and accompanying fully equipped bathroom facilities were excellent. Everything in our private living space was pristine, perfectly maintained and of excellent quality, as were the public spaces in the rest of the home.
Turning into the Queens Landing driveway each evening after another long day of touring potential houses was truly a welcome relief. Being warmly cared for by Wilma and Brian made our stay easy and as stress-free as possible. Wilma and Brian were highly professional and mindful hosts, and Queens Landing quickly became 'home' and a calm oasis for us.

Queens Landing is no ordinary Guest House; Brian and Wilma have provided us with a home away from home. In addition to the variety of creature comforts they offer, their wealth of local knowledge has allowed us to quickly get orientated, providing a helping hand that is invaluable for those interested in relocating to the area. Whether you want a welcoming base for a business trip, or a stepping-stone to finding more permanent residence, the well appointed house, beautiful garden and great food (optional, but highly recommended) constitute a peaceful sanctuary so comfortable you may not want to leave.

Dear Wilma and Brian,
I have to say that my second stay at Queens Landing Guest House was as enjoyable as the first.
I was a little hesitant the first time on staying in ones guest home, seeing that I always stay in Hotels when I travel, but you two made it so relaxing. It’s nice not coming back to 4 walls of a Hotel room every day and then going out to look for dinner after a busy day at work.
The accommodations (room, breakfast, dinner) were excellent along with the many different discussions during my stay.
Wilma you are and outstanding cook. I gained 4 lbs. on my last stay. Thanks!
If I am ever back in the Kitchener area I’ll be booking a room.

After living in hotels for too long, it was great to find Queens Landing. The rooms were large and comfortable and I was made to feel at home with the generous hosts. When my family came to join me there was no question that staying here was the best decision. I will definitely be recommending this house to others who are looking for more than a hotel experience.

Being 2 hours away form my family for over a month was difficult, staying with Brian and Wilma made the transition easy. Between the food, the company and the sleeping arrangements, it was like home away from home. Brian and Wilma were great hosts and friends. Thanks so much for everything.
